The People’s Media Center at the USSF will be located in Cobo Hall and will serve not only as a hub for traditional, new and people’s journalists to connect and share, but also a space for many story-telling, media, cultural and artistic activities to take place continuously and throughout the forum.

There are no press passes for the USSF. We ask that
everyone register, including staff, volunteers and media (online
registration is encouraged). We consider all participants part of the
community/movement. The registration fee is purposely set low, so the
forum is accessible for all people.

The United States Social Forum (USSF) closed Saturday with an inspirational national assembly and closing ceremony. Today, the Forum’s National Planning Committee (NPC) declared the forum a great success with attendance of more than 18,000 people from Detroit, from rural and urban areas across the nation, and from countries across the world including South Africa, Palestine, Honduras and Nepal.
