Description:
The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 gives military recruiters the same access to secondary school students, grades 9 through 12, as they provide to postsecondary institutions or to prospective employers. This workshop will provide information to help students deal with the recruiters they will inevitably meet on campus. Truth in Recruiting expresses a desire for recruiters to tell the truth and avoid contacting students under the age of eighteen. Unfortunately congress has given recruiters a mandate to interact with students and our goal is to help the students understand what is involved in the recruiting process.
